Hello families! Please sign on and take part in the Envision Our Chicopee 2040 survey. We want to hear from you! This is your chance to get involved with your city and have your voice heard. Thank you! https://envisionourchicopee2040.com/share The Chicopee TDI District represents a five-minute walking radius in the urban core of the Chicopee Center. The district aspires to build upon recent momentum to activate vacant buildings and become a hub for high-skilled workers and homegrown entrepreneurs. Anchored around many public and private institutions - such as the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce, the always-active Munich Haus, and the nearby College of Our Lady of the Elms - Chicopee’s TDI District is an ideal neighborhood for youths and professionals alike to live, work, and play. The Chicopee TDI Partnership aims to create an urban atmosphere – an experience which cannot be found in surrounding rural and suburban areas – through activation of vacant or underutilized properties and capitalizing on major proposed projects. For example, the vacant Rivoli Theater, Cabotville Mill complex, and former public library each has the potential to be redeveloped into vibrant, engaging cornerstones of this industrious, Pioneer Valley city. Through previous economic development efforts in the West End Brownfields Area-Wide Plan and the annual Downtown GetDown event, the TDI Partnership and an engaged community are primed to improve the vibrancy and wayfinding of Chicopee Center. https://www.massdevelopment.com/what-we-offer/key-initiatives/tdi/tdi-districts/chicopee?fbclid=IwAR1topU1R7aDm9P2zFm6jlTO2wsR-0KWq3oHGhvTUUmXLHXqEsDFrtlSeLY |
